Being a single mother is hard: Courtney

Courtney Love, the widow of rock music legend Kurt Cobain, says she is trying her best in bringing up daughter Frances Bean but being a single mother is hard.
Love, 43, allowed her daughter to go watch a movie with her friend without security guards, reports people.com.
She said, "I wanted to show her that she could go out in London without a nanny or bodyguard, so they went by themselves. I wanted to get her a cake because it is the first time she had gone anywhere on her own."
"I just want things to be good for her, but she's a lot like me and a lot like her dad. I think she got the best of both of us, so there's that."
In spite of the instability in her life, Love insists she has a strong bond with her daughter.
"We get along well most of the time but teenagers are hard. Being a single mother is hard," she said.

Britney Spears in trouble again!

'Toxic' pop diva Britney Spears is in trouble again -- this time she's facing yet more agony in her ongoing custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

A 300-page document released by Judge Scott Gordon who is overseeing the case has revealed that the singer has received a damning report from the Los Angeles' Department of Children and Family Services, the media reported on Wednesday.

"Based on its investigation to date, it should be noted that DCFS has concerns of its own regarding the safety and welfare of the children if the children are left in the mother's care," according to a part of the document.

Spears has been battling to regain custody of her two children after Judge Gordon gave their full custody to her former husband.

Lohan tops list of dumb celebrities

'Mean Girls' star Lindsay Lohan has topped a new list of dumb celebrities.

The poll conducted by a newspaper judged celebrities based on their intelligence quotients (IQs), poor fashion choices, and bad judgement, reports thesun.co.uk.

Having spent some time in rehab and jail earlier this year, Lohan was chosen as the dumbest celebrity for her "poor movie choices, delinquent behaviour and bad taste in men".

She appeared in a slew of flops in 2007 and got romantically involved with Calum Best and Riley Giles whom she met in rehab.

Others on the list include Kim Kardashian, "The Hills" star Spencer Pratt, and Shia LaBeouf who most recently appeared in "The Transformers".
